Larry Johnson is available to any team that wants him. Now the question is whether any team wants him.Johnson, the former Kansas City Chiefs running back who was waived by the team this week, passed through the NFL's waiver wire without a single team placing a claim on him. That makes him an unrestricted free agent, available to sign with any team.
Johnson 132 carries for 358 yards this season, a stunningly low average of 2.7 yards per carry that raises the question of whether the soon-to-be 30-year-old Johnson has anything left. Combine his age with his lack of productivity and his bad attitude, and it's entirely possible that no NFL team will want him.
But there are indications that some NFL team -- maybe the Texans, maybe the Steelers, maybe the Patriots -- might be willing to give him a shot if he'll agree to a minimum-salary deal. He can negotiate with all 32 teams, starting now.
