Guerrero, Porter Aim to Stay Unbeaten
Entering their clash of 22-year-old middleweights, Guerrero boasts a record of 16-0 with 13 knockouts, while Nicklow is 19-1-2 with seven KOs.
The bout will be the second straight 10-rounder for Guerrero, a southpaw who was floored in his last fight -- October's majority decision over Ossie Duran (23-8-2, nine) for the NABO title.
It is the first scheduled 10-rounder for Nicklow, who is coming off of June's majority decision over southpaw John Mackey (11-4-2, five).
A 22-year-old junior middleweight, Porter recently registered his ninth knockout over Jerome Ellis (12-10-2, 10), whom he retired in the fourth round on Nov. 21 to improve to 11-0.
If victorious, Guerrero and Porter, respectively, will compete in Cleveland, Ohio, against southpaw Jesus Gonzalez (24-1, 13) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cuban-born southpaw Damian Frias (16-2, seven) of Miami.
Porter served as a sparring partner for Manny Pacquiao in preparation for last month's 12th-round knockout of WBO welterweight (147 pounds) champion, Miguel Cotto.
