After a slow start Sunday, New Orleans showed life in its game against the Washington Redskins. The unbeaten Saints fell behind 10-0 early, but had closed to within 17-10 just before halftime.

Quarterback Drew Brees threw a desperation pass over the middle to avoid a sack in the first half's final minute, and the throw was intercepted by Kareem Moore. Trying to make something happen on the return, Moore ended up having the ball ripped out of his hands by Saints receiver Robert Meachem, who ran to the end zone for the tying touchdown.

A lengthy replay review led to the play being upheld as it was called on the field, even though it appeared that Moore touched the Saints' Jeremy Shockey while he was on the ground with the ball. It was also possible that the ball hit the ground before Moore got up.

None of the evidence was enough to overturn the call of a touchdown.

New Orleans went on to win the game, 33-30 in overtime.
