If you're lucky enough to be playing this weekend, now is not the time to get cute. You simply must trust your studs and go with who got you this far. Well, chances are you never expected that Vernon Davis would be "that" guy who got you here. Trust me, as a dude who hyped Davis each preseason as a breakout waiting to happen, I never imagined this season coming to fruition. I gave up. And to be honest, I'm more amazed by what Davis has done than the fact that Tiger Woods' reputation is in the mud. Ouch!Moving on, Davis draws the ever-generous Eagles defense (when it comes to opposing tight ends) this weekend and yes, he will continue to shine. I've got Dallas Clark ranked in his normal spot and that's taking into consideration that I believe he'll see ample time on Thursday night to be his usual difference-maker self. Everything else seems par for the course, so let's take a look at the rest of the ranks...
1. Vernon Davis, SF at PHI
2. Antonio Gates, SD vs. CIN
3. Dallas Clark, IND at JAC
4. Brent Celek, PHI vs. SF
5. Visanthe Shiancoe, MIN at CAR
6. Tony Gonzalez, ATL at NYJ
7. Jason Witten, DAL at NO
8. Fred Davis, WAS vs. NYG
9. Kellen Winslow, TB at SEA
10. Jeremy Shockey, NO vs. DAL
11. Jermichael Finley, GB at PIT
12. Bo Scaife, TEN vs. MIA
13. Heath Miller, PIT vs. GB
14. Kevin Boss, NYG at WAS
15. Greg Olsen, CHI at BAL
16. Benjamin Watson, NE at BUF
17. Dustin Keller, NYJ vs. ATL
18. Todd Heap, BAL vs. CHI
19. John Carlson, SEA vs. TB
20. Tony Scheffler, DEN vs. OAK
21. Anthony Fasano, MIA at TEN
22. Zach Miller, OAK at DEN
23. Will Heller, DET vs ARI
• Fred Davis seems to be all the buzz lately in terms of tight ends on the rise. However, don't we see this every single week? OK, fact is I do like Davis a lot to be honest. He's got a nice game of catch working with Jason Campbell and the Giants secondary has been a mess as of late. Yup, Davis is a nice find if you're in need of a matchup play.
• It was nice to see John Carlson somewhat relevant again last weekend. He's one of those guys you can't fully trust again, but against the Bucs I could see him giving you decent points. Don't get cute, but you get my drift.
• Jeremy Shockey has pretty much been useless for several weeks now. However, I'm playing the hunch card that he comes up decent in prime time against the Cowboys. On the other side of the field, expect Jason Witten to continue his hot streak.
• Zach Miller's fantasy value takes another hit with Charlie Frye now playing QB for the Raiders. Poor Miller.
• Who is your deep, deep sleeper this week? Really ... you are in the fantasy playoffs and you need a sleeper? Ugh, Dustin Keller is your guy. Good luck.
