It's been a rough start to the season for the Detroit Red Wings. They've been inconsistent at best, hampered by injuries and the need for a ton of young players to step into key minutes.

The latest injury happened Thursday night in Detroit, when the Red Wings were hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning. Forward Henrik Zetterberg is the victim this time, as a hit by Lightning defenseman Mattias Ohlund has knocked him out of the lineup for "a minimum of two weeks" with a slight shoulder separation.

First off, the video of what appears to be a relatively clean hit.

MLive.com's Ansar Kahn weighed in.
Ohlund caught Zetterberg in the head with his shoulder in the Lightning zone with 1:43 to play in the first period. Zetterberg was shaken up and, after a couple of minutes, helped off the ice by Nicklas Lidstrom and trainer Piet Van Zant.
TSN's Bob McKenzie didn't sound too optimistic about a quick return from the Swedish star.
Initial prognosis on Zetterberg (on clean hit from Ohlund) is not great. Further testing and evaluation to come but he may be out awhile.
Ohlund, a fellow Swede, was not penalized for the hit.
