It was a hideous start to the season for the Minnesota Wild. At one point, the Wild were comfortably sitting in the basement of the Western Conference.

Since a 3-9 start left everyone in Minnesota wondering about the ability of this team to be competitive without longtime coach Jacques Lemaire, the Wild have quietly put together an impressive 13-5-3 mark, and they're climbing up the Western Conference ladder. With that in mind, we reached out to Nathan Eide, a writer with Wild blog Hockey Wilderness, to talk about this improved team.
