A massive snow storm that is dumping as much as two feet of snow on parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States has forced the starting times for two NFL games on Sunday to be pushed back.
The Philadelphia Eagles were set to host the San Francisco 49ers at 1 PM ET, but because Philadelphia is expected to be under a foot of snow by Sunday morning, the game has been rescheduled for 4:15 PM ET.
It's a move that might actually work to the benefit of the 49ers since west coast teams sometimes struggle when making the cross-country flight for 1 PM kickoffs.
The 49ers have been in Philadelphia since Friday evening.
Meanwhile, just to the south, the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears game has also been moved back to 4:15 because of the snow -- which could total between 20 and 30 inches in the Baltimore area when all is said and done -- while the Bears can't even arrive in Baltimore yet. The team's Friday evening flight from Chicago was canceled due to the weather. The team will attempt to make the trip again on Saturday night.
