Chad Ochocinco was visibly emotional before the Chargers-Bengals game earlier because of his close relationship to the late Cincy receiver Chris Henry. (Ochocinco had threatened to wear Henry's No. 15 jersey regardless of what the league threatened to fine him, but ended up deciding to remain in his own No. 85.)And his emotions carried through to the game as well -- on first down near midfield, Carson Palmer threw a play-action strike to a wide-open Ochocinco on the left side of the field for a 49-yard touchdown pass. Ochocinco, usually never reserved regarding his actions in the end zone, took a knee, seemed to look skyward with one hand and seemed to cry after a quiet celebration.
Say what you will about Ochocinco's often over-the-top actions on and off the field, but it was a damn touching tribute to a lost friend. Video below.
