New York Islanders forward Rob Schremp has always been blessed with incredible raw talent, and it's usually on display in practice, shootouts and skills competitions. On Wednesday night, Schremp had an opportunity to show his eye-popping ability in a game situation. With the Islanders and Avalanche tied at one in the second period, and the Islanders on the power play, Schremp had himself positioned along the goal line to the left of goaltender Craig Anderson. That's where the magic happened.
Schremp batted a puck out of mid-air with his hand, and before it could hit the ice, took a baseball-bat swing at the puck and buried it behind Anderson for the go-ahead tally.
