On Sunday, Fox News' Brit Hume suggested Tiger Woods needed Jesus in his life because Buddha just wasn't cutting it.

The Daily Show
convened its panel of theological experts on Monday's show, which may or may not have had something to do with Hume defending his comments a day later.

On Bill O'Reilly's fair and balanced television program.

Daily Show correspondent Aasif Mandvi finally understands Hume's religious plight:
It drives home how persecuted Christians are when they speak of their faith. I'm a Muslim. I take it for granted that public utterances I make extolling the superiority of my religion pass without notice or even sometimes with praise. I forget how hard it is to be Christian because it's so easy to be Muslim.
And that's all Brit was saying.

CNN's Rick Sanchez, also a Christian, admits to not knowing much about Buddhism. But unlike Hume, Sanchez decides against proselytizing and just brings in an expert. Novel idea.

In the end, I think Jon Stewart had it right.

Hume: "I think Jesus Christ offers Tiger Woods something Tiger Woods needs."

Stewart: "Time machine?"

Whatever your religious beliefs, there is no denying that a time machine would fix everything.
