The point: Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert don't seem to care whether Mark McGwire's recent admission of steroid abuse is groundbreaking because they're too busy destroying him.
And it's a good thing too -- when we see sports reporters discussing the McGwire issue, too often the history of baseball becomes an issue, whereas the important thing to remember is that everyone needs to shut their pie holes about McGwire (because he's incredibly played out at this point) and instead mock him ruthlessly for trying to claim that he would have hit 70 home runs anyway thanks to God bestowing him with such amazing gifts.
First, there's Colbert, talking about McGwire on the Spor(t) Repor(t):
|The Colbert Report||Mon - Thurs 11:30pm / 10:30c|
|Sport Report - Gilbert Arenas & Mark McGwire|
And then Stewart leads "News of the Weird" with the STUNNING revelation from Big Mac:
|The Daily Show With Jon Stewart||Mon - Thurs 11p / 10c|
|News of the Weird - Mark McGwire, Game Change & Sarah Palin|
