Tim Bradley's career-best performance appears to have scared away potential opponents. The WBO light welterweight (140 pounds) king is coming off of last month's lop-sided, 12-round unanimous decision over 25-year-old Lamont Peterson, who probably lost every round and was floored for the first time in his career despite entering with a record of 27-0, with 13 knockouts.
Nicknamed "The Desert Storm," Bradley's effort earned him honors as FanHouse's Most Dominant Performance Of The Year for 2009.
It may also have made Bradley a virtual pariah when it comes to making his next big fight.
Bradley said that he's willing to face five-time titlist, Floyd Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs), now that his welterweight (147 pounds) megabout with seven-division champ Manny Pacquiao is off, and Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs) is slated to defend his WBO welterweight title against Ghana's Joshua Clottey (35-3, 20 KOs) on March 13.
Mayweather is reportedly considering a number of opponents for a March 13 replacement, and Bradley would like to be among them.
"I'd go up to 147 pounds to face any of these guys. And I'm a 140-pounder. I'll do whatever it takes," said Bradley, a native of Palm Springs, Calif.
"If they tell me that I have to fight this guy and then that guy and that if I beat this guy over here then I have an opportunity, just let me know what I need to do to get a fight with [Mayweather,]" said Bradley. "Just let me know what I need to do. Please let me know."
Promoter Gary Shaw and Bradley's manager, Cameron Dunkin, had been looking at Colombian-born IBF titlist Juan Urango (22-2-1, 17 KOs) before the 29-year-old champion set up a March 6, unification matchup with 22-year-old, southpaw WBC champion, Devon Alexander (19-0, 12 KOs) of St. Louis, Mo., to be contested in Las Vegas.
Even as it appears that 23-year-old WBA champ, Amir Khan (22-1, 16 knockouts) of England, may be trying to get out of a bout with hard-hitting Marcos Rene Maidana (27-1, 26 KOs), the 26-year-old Bradley (25-0, 11 KOs) is calling out Khan.
Shaw said he had been trying to land a fight with Khan, who recently signed a three-fight deal with Golden Boy Promotions after having been with Frank Warren.
Shaw said the same thing about a potential bout with 22-year-old, southpaw, Victor Ortiz (25-2-1, 20 KOs), whose sixth-round knockout of Antonio Diaz last month helped him to rebound from June's knockout loss to Maidana.
"In the last three weeks, I've called [Golden Boy Promotions] Richard Schaefer and offered to fight Ortiz, and they turned that down. I've offered to fight Maidana, they've turned that down. I've been in negotiations with Frank Warren and Amir Khan against Bradley," said Shaw.

"Now that Golden Boy Promotions has signed Amir Khan, I invite Richard Schaefer to call my cell number, my home number, or to e-mail me and continue the negotiations between Amir Khan and Tim Bradley," Shaw said of the fighter (foreground right, against Junior Witter).
"Or, is Amir Khan afraid to fight Tim Bradley, as Victor Ortiz is afraid to fight Tim Bradley, and, as Maidana is afraid to fight Tim Bradley?" said Shaw, who said that Bradley, "in a heartbeat," would face 135-pound WBA super lightweight king, Juan Manuel Marquez.
"Or, do the fighters want to fight Tim Bradley, and Golden Boy is afraid of losing another fight? If they're not afraid, Tim Bradley is ready, willing and able to fight Amir Khan. Let's get a date, and Showtime is willing to do it and pay the right amount of money. Let's get it on. I believe that Tim Bradley is the most feared fighter out there."
Schaefer could not be reached.
But according to The Sun, Khan is considering matchups with English contryman and former world champion, Ricky Hatton (45- 2, 32 KOs), as well as, New York's Paulie Malignaggi (27-3, five KOs), the latter as early as April at New York's Madison Square Garden.
"I'm ready to fight anyone, anywhere, anytime," Khan told The Sun. "And know that Golden Boy will help me accomplish these goals."
Of a potential matchup with Khan, Hatton told The Sun, "It's not an impossibility, but I'd say that's not top of the list."
