Vincent Jackson Flagged for Kicking Challenge Flag

As the San Diego Chargers desperately tried to cut down a 10-point deficit to the visiting New York Jets late in the fourth quarter, Vincent Jackson made an incredible catch down the sideline. The play went for 37 yards down to the New York 20. When Jets coach Rex Ryan threw the red challenge flag, however, Jackson cost his team 15 yards by intentionally kicking it. There is no specific rule against kicking the flag, but general acts that are deemed "unsportsmanlike" by the officials can be called at any time. Check out the video below (you'll see the kick of the challenge flag at the 23-second mark).


The Chargers ended up scoring a touchdown on the drive, but still lost the game, 17-14.
