The news isn't so good for Pierre-Louis.
Pierre-Louis, a former cornerback for the Florida Gators, is being sought by the Gainesville (Fla.) Police Department on suspicion of committing domestic violence through strangulation, police reported Sunday.
Pierre-Louis is suspected of going to the apartment of his girlfriend or former girlfriend at about 5:30AM and kicking in the door. He became enraged after he saw her in bed with another man, police said in a sworn complaint.
Police said the football player then trapped the woman in her bathroom and began to choke her saying, "I could kill you." When she tried to run away and call police, he pushed her on to her bed, took off his shirt and began to strangle her, police said.
"He makes some threats and she tries to call 911, but he grabbed the phone," Capt. Ed Book told The Gainesville Sun. "She was able to get away from him long enough to escape, run outside and call for help."
Lt. Keith Kameg said Sunday night a warrant has been issued for Pierre-Louis' arrest on charges of domestic battery by strangulation, burglary, battery, false imprisonment and hindering communication to law enforcement.
Pierre-Louis recently completed his senior season. He has not graduated from UF.
