Last year, President Barack Obama was a Steelers fan during the Super Bowl, and that worked out pretty well for the city of Pittsburgh. This time around, Obama, a Chicago native and full-time Bears supporter, is pulling for the Saints.
He explained his reasons in an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer:
"I think both teams are terrific. I guess I'm rooting a little bit for the Saints as the underdog. Partly just because, you know, when I think what's happened in New Orleans over the last several years and how much that team means to them, I'm pretty sympathetic."
I can see that. Jay Cutler's first season in Chicago was reminiscent of a devastating natural disaster.
