Florida's Reggie Pena dropped favored, Baltimore light heavyweight (175 pounds) rival, Willie Williams, once in the fifth round, on the way to a lopsided, six-round, unanimous decision in Friday night's main event of a six-fight Ballroom Boxing card at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, Maryland.Judges John Gradowski, Don Risher and Malik Walid all scored it 59-54 in favor of the 26-year-old Pena (5-2, one KO, pictured at right, far right), who battered the 31-year-old Williams (12-5-2, three KOs) so bloody that many at ringside were screaming for referee Gary Camponeschi to stop the fight midway through the fifth.
In a junior featherweight (126 pounds) co-main event, 28-year-old Thomas Snow, of Capital Heights, MD., failed to earn his ninth knockout, even as he escaped with an unpopular, six-round split-decision for his second, straight victory over 22-year-old Jason Rorie, of Winston-Salem, N.C.
Snow (12-1) was coming off of June's six round, majority decision victory over previously undefeated, Willshaun Boxley, but appears to have suffered a fragile psyche as a result of having been stopped in the second round of July's knockout loss to Philadelphia's Teon Kennedy (14-0-1, six KOs).
Snow fought mostly in retreat against the game Rorie (5-6-2, two KOs), who brought the action to his opponent throughout before losing for the third straight time.
Snow was able to hurt Rorie in the fifth round and force him to give ground for the only time in the fight, which he won, 58-56, on the cards of judges, Dave Braslow, and, Gary Camponeschi, with Don Risher scoring it, 58-56, for Rorie.
Harold "Hard Roc" Sconiers (17-20-2), of Clearwater, Fla., won his disputed, six-round, heavyweight matchup over Mike Miller (6-15-2, three KOs) of Pittsburgh, by majority decision, 60-54, and, 58-56, respectively, on the cards of Don Risher, and, Dave Braslow, with Malik Waleed scoring it even, 57-57.
Sconiers was coming off of October's third-round knockout of Andre Purlette, who entered their fight with a record of 40-3, with 35 knockouts. By defeating Purlette, Sconiers ended a five-bout losing streak that included being stopped three times
-- twice in the first round.
Cruiserweight (200 pounds) Alex Guerrero (3-0), of Salisbury, MD., scored three knockdowns before Walid, the referee, waved an end to his first-round knockout victory over Johnny Fields of Ohio, who was making his professional debut.

Guerrero (pictured at right, standing over Fields) floored Fields, respectively, with a right hand, then a hybrid left hook-uppercut, and a straight right hand to the ear. The hook-uppercut was the fifth straight punch of its kind to land before Field hit the canvas for the second time.
The 27-year-old Guerrero is the older brother of 23-year-old, southpaw middleweight (160 pounds) prospect, Fernando Guerrero (17-0, 14 KOs), who was working Alex's corner on Friday night along with trainer, Hal Chernoff.
In other bouts, heavyweights Vinroy July (3-0-1, two KOs), of St. Catherine, Jamaica, scored a second-round TKO over Kevin
Johnson (3-3, two KO's), of Baltimore, and Dwayne Martin (2-1, one KO), of Laurel, MD., earned a four-round, majority decision over Derrell Martin (4-12-1, one KO), of Baltimore in a clash of lightweights (135 pounds).
