You may remember Doug Collins as a member of the 1972 Olympic basketball team that got hosed out of a gold medal against the Soviet Union. He also had a nine-year NBA career and was a head coach for 11 more. Currently, Collins is an NBA analyst for TNT, and during a recent game, he and co-worker Kevin Harlan took some time out from talking basketball to discuss JaMarcus Russell (who was in attendance) and his various diamond-encrusted accessories. Harlan: God ... You know, if he spent as much time in the film room as he did in the jewelry store he'd be a much better quarterback.
(Some might even say he'd have poise. Wait, what?)
Collins: That's unbelievable how much jewelry he's got on.
