Never mind that the Mountaineers beat the Panthers by 19 points Thursday night, the bigger story coming out of Morgantown was that West Virginia fans really like to throw things at the opposing team.

Coach Bob Huggins twice pleaded with the crowd to not try to maim the Pitt players and coaches.

"Hey, don't throw anything on the floor. You're going to hurt one of the players ... that's stupid. That is stupid. Hey, if anybody sees somebody throwing stuff on the floor, point 'em out so we can throw 'em out of here."

Apparently, everybody was too busy throwing stuff on the floor to point any fingers because a Pittsburgh assistant coach took one in the gourd. Which made the television announcer VERY UNHAPPY.

"THIS IS THE SECOND TIME NOW TONIGHT ... THAT IS SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL. OR ANY PLACE ELSE."

Well, accept Cleveland.
