Monday night's Texas-Kansas matchup was underwhelming, sure, but despite some uninspiring basketball, and the Jayhawks' 12-point win, we glimpsed an oasis of awesomeness, courtesy of Kansas guard Brady Morningstar.

With 3:48 to go in the game and the Jayhawks leading by 13, Morningstar stepped to the line to attempt a technical foul shot. Sounds ordinary enough until you actually watch what transpired.

Unintentional comedy video proof:

There is an explanation (other than "My brain momentarily lost the ability to communicate with my arms"):
"The ball was wet. It slipped on the way up. I was so confused. I could have caught it and came down with it, but I'd have stepped on the line. I tried to shoot a little jump shot so I didn't cross the line," Morningstar said.

"I looked pretty stupid there," he added. "We laughed about it in the locker room just now."
Mystery solved. In unrelated news, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams released a statement blaming the 2009-10 season on wet balls.
