Brooklyn DeckerI'm thinking Brandylyn. Brookdy seems cut-off somehow. I don't know, if Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick are suddenly the hot new celebrity power couple, then they're going to need one of those combo-names. Nothing sounds that great -- Roddecker? -- not that Brangelina is that great, either.

Brooklyn Decker, who is married to Andy Roddick, is on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, has been on the Today Show to announce it and was part of a bit on Letterman. She has a huge picture in Times Square, and apparently, a poster-sized photo in an orange bikini in some of the New York trains.

And I wonder how Roddick is taking this.

"So happy/proud of my wife,'' he wrote on his Twitter account. "(T)he new cover for sports illustrated swimsuit issue!!!! Unreal ... so excited!!!!!!!!!!''

That's right, 10 exclamation marks!

In other words, he's putting on a brave face. Poor, Andy.

The thing is, Roddick has been the face of American men's tennis for the past six years. All those years of sweating on a tennis court, even reaching No. 1 in the world rankings, and his wife beat him to the cover of SI.

If you do a Google search on Andy Roddick and SI cover, most of the headlines that pop up start with "Brooklyn Decker, wife of tennis star ... ''

His name is probably in the text somewhere.

You wonder: If Roddick and Decker want to get the best possible table, which name will they use now on the reservation?

"I feel like the New Orleans Saints did Sunday night,'' Decker said on the Today Show on Tuesday, hours after she found out she was picked for the cover. "It's the equivalent of a model winning the MVP of the Super Bowl.''

Roddick has been criticized for years because he can't seem to win the Big One. He has one major title, a U.S. Open.

We've spent years picking away at him, trying to figure out exactly what isn't quite right, why he has this career of almost. And on Tuesday, with the SI announcement, Roddick's life came into a little more focus:

He is 27 years old, has won $17 million on the court, has a clothing contract with Lacoste that reportedly pays $5 million a year. And, he's married to the cover model of the SI swimsuit issue.

I've heard of worse lives.

So maybe he can take it when we poke a little fun at him, asking who's wearing the bikini bottoms in the family.

Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick"I think he basically takes the reins in the locker room for the next year or so,'' Decker said on the Today Show.

"He has good bragging rights. He's very proud ...

"He knows it's a goldmine, and to see me succeed and to see each other succeed is really exciting.''

For any guy who looks at these magazines and imagines meeting these women, know this:

The story goes that Roddick actually met Decker because he saw her picture in a previous SI swimsuit issue, and fell for her. He had his agent get her number, and he called.

If you do something like that, the police might be knocking on your door soon. When Roddick does it?

They were married in April.

Roddick and Decker have been trading comments on their Twitter accounts for months, and it has always seemed partly to be a way for Roddick to build up numbers of his wife's followers.

Not necessary anymore.

She tweeted Tuesday that she was so nervous on the Today Show that her lips were quivering when she tried to smile on camera. She posted a picture with the tweet, "Lovely team of hair&makeup, agent & publicist hahah. I feel like a total diva w/my entourage! This is INSANE!!!''

Poor Andy tweeted this:

``(S)till kind of flipping out about (Brooklyn) and the SI cover..anyone see the today show this morning? And check out letterman tonight.''

Roddick takes his sore shoulder and knee Wednesday to San Jose, where he's the top seed. He'll play Ryler Deheart, if anyone cares.

Guess what the media will be asking him about.
