VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Just hours before Zach Lund, an American skeleton racer from Salt Lake City, Utah, was set to take part in the 2006 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, he was pulled from the games because he was told that he tested positive for finasteride, a substance that was in the hair restoration product he was using. Lund fought the positive test, but to no avail. After promising his ailing mother when he was 15 years old that he would someday represent his country in the Olympics, his dream of competing in the games had been taken away for him.

Four years later, Lund is back in the Olympics. In 2006, he was ranked No. 1 in the world. Today, he's 13th. But he's in Whistler, and that's all that matters to him. Sporting a bald head, courtesy of his sponsor, HeadBlade, Lund spoke to FanHouse on Sunday about his amazing journey to the Olympics, his new hairstyle and whether he believes Whistler's skeleton and luge course is too dangerous. Check out the video interview below.
