Ryan BraunThe FanHouse staff has had some time to ponder over our initial fantasy baseball rankings (which you can view by clicking here), so now it's time for the updated version -- no drawn out tables, just down and dirty rankings. We will elaborate on significant moves after the ranks.

I've said outfield is a deep position several times, but please don't go overboard. Remember, you need three times as many outfielders than any infield position (and many leagues have five OFs with just MI and CI positions), so while the position is deep, it's not incredibly so.

Once again, our top choice was unanimous. And I'm guessing the other members of our FanHouse staff found it just as easy as I did to put him there.

1. Ryan Braun, Brewers
2. Matt Kemp, Dodgers
3. Carl Crawford, Rays
4. Matt Holliday, Cardinals
5. Justin Upton, Diamondbacks

• We did see quite a bit more shuffling in terms of three-four slot moves for players, and most was due to age. Meaning, the younger players tended to rise a bit while guys who were older (or more injury-prone like Josh Hamilton) fell a few spots. This shows as we get closer to drafts we're thinking more about lessening risk in our selections.

• It seems that Jay Bruce has been sold by R.J. White to the rest of us, because he's seen a spike into the top 30. You can read R.J.'s argument by clicking here.

• Jason Heyward would have moved up about six to eight slots if it wasn't for one hard-headed member of the staff: me. I'm still guarding against what I believe will be excessive hype. If you disagree with me, that's OK. Bump him up on your own draft board. You are building your own fantasy team, after all, not mine.

• Keep an eye on Jermaine Dye. We'll do a final set of rankings here in the next few weeks and if he still remains unsigned, he'll plummet. In the meantime, we're expecting him to find meaningful work somewhere.

• Ryan Raburn fell 13 spots. Not because we don't like his potential, but because the Tigers have spent a lot of time raving about Carlos Guillen and Magglio Ordonez this Spring, in addition to the Damon signing -- meaning we're worried about a lack of playing time ... again.
