The FanHouse staff has had some time to ponder over our initial fantasy baseball rankings (which you can view by clicking here), so now it's time for the updated version -- no drawn out tables, just down and dirty rankings. We will elaborate on significant moves after the ranks.

This may surprise you, but I really like this position this year. There's at least 13 or 14 guys listed below that I wouldn't mind having as my starter, including breakout candidates Howie Kendrick, Rickie Weeks, Gordon Beckham and Ian Stewart. Unless you can get one of our top five at a great value, I'd hang around for Jose Lopez or one of those possible breakouts.

1. Chase Utley, Phillies
2. Ian Kinsler, Rangers
3. Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox
4. Brandon Phillips, Reds
5. Robinson Cano, Yankees

6. Brian Roberts, Orioles
7. Aaron Hill, Blue Jays
8. Ben Zobrist, Rays
9. Howie Kendrick, Angels
10. Jose Lopez, Mariners
11. Gordon Beckham, White Sox
12. Dan Uggla, Marlins
13. Rickie Weeks, Brewers
14. Ian Stewart, Rockies
15. Asdrubal Cabrera, Indians
16. Martin Prado, Braves
17. Kelly Johnson, Diamondbacks
18. Placido Polanco, Phillies
19. Orlando Hudson, Twins
20. Luis Castillo, Mets
21. Clint Barmes, Rockies
22. Kazuo Matsui, Astros
23. Akinori Iwamura, Pirates
24. Alberto Callaspo, Royals
25. Casey McGehee, Brewers
26. Scott Sizemore, Tigers
27. Freddy Sanchez, Giants
28. Maicer Izturis, Angels
29. Mark Ellis, A's
30. Luis Valbuena, Indians
31. Juan Uribe, Giants
32. Jeff Baker, Cubs
33. Adam Kennedy, Nationals
34. Eric Young, Rockies
35. Felipe Lopez, Cardinals
36. Skip Schumaker, Cardinals
37. Ronnie Belliard, Dodgers
38. Nick Punto, Twins
39. Chris Getz, Royals
40. Julio Lugo, Cardinals
41. Eugenio Velez, Giants
42. David Eckstein, Padres
43. Alexi Casilla, Twins
44. Mike Fontenot, Cubs
45. Willy Aybar, Rays
46. Blake DeWitt, Dodgers
47. Jeff Keppinger, Astros
48. Omar Infante, Braves
49. Craig Counsell, Brewers
50. Jason Donald, Indians

• Injury concerns about Brian Roberts have knocked him down a few spots in our rankings, as our panel boosted the stock of Brandon Phillips and Robinson Cano. Phillips is a very consistent fantasy force, while Cano has huge power/average upside, as was exhibited in the second half of last season.

• Rather than rehash my argument for my favorite 2B values, let's talk about Martin Prado and Kelly Johnson, Prado received his first extended look last year when Johnson went down, and he flashed more power potential than you'd have expected while keeping his average above .300. The Braves had enough confidence in Prado that they dumped Johnson ...

• ... who landed in Arizona. Before last year, Johnson was a quality second option at second base, posting a 16/9 season in 2007 and a 12/11 season in 2008. In just over 300 at-bats last year, he had eight HRs and seven SBs, so the power/speed combo is still there. The Diamondbacks are banking on the average returning to form, and so should you.
