Snowboarder and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White first appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2006. And now he's back. According to the magazine, a lot of White's recent success on the half-pipe and off can be attributed to a new addition to his life: "Getting into music has changed my personality and my way of doing things ... I"m far more open now."
(Maybe this means John Mayer should take up snowboarding.)
You can see the cover here but photographer Terry Richardson has the original on his Tumblr page (bigger pic after the jump) with a one-sentence explanation: "Shaun White... shot by Me for the cover of Rolling Stone...out now!"

White, who turned pro at 13, admits that "I think guitar is the best thing in the world ... It's the only thing where no matter what I do, I can't do it all myself."
And with no shirt and stars and stripes stretchy pants. Forgot that part.
