MESA, Ariz. -- Diamondbacks general manager Josh Byrnes told reporters it's possible Brandon Webb, the 2006 NL Cy Young Award-winner, could start the season on the disabled list."It's reality," Byrnes said. "He needs four or five spring training starts and if that's going to happen, it needs to happen fairly soon."
Arizona manager A.J. Hinch backed up Byrnes by informing the media that Webb -- who, until missing almost all of 2009 with injury, had made at least 28 starts every season in his first six years in the majors -- is not on the schedule for a spring start yet.
Webb, however, told a different story to FanHouse TV's Jeff Fletcher.
