The FanHouse staff has had some time to ponder over our initial fantasy baseball rankings (which you can view by clicking here), so now it's time for the updated version -- no drawn out tables, just down and dirty rankings. We will elaborate on significant moves after the ranks.

Opinions vary widely on the path to take with drafting starting pitchers -- we even delved into it in a Roundtable article. While it's awesome to have a top-tier ace to anchor your staff, and I would grab any of them should they start to slip in your draft, my favorite play is to take several starters in Rounds 6-10. At that point, there's a lot of reaching going on for players, especially at positions where the talent well is starting to dry up. That's the time to build your team around guys like Ricky Nolasco, Tommy Hanson, Brandon Webb and Wandy Rodriguez.

We also have a change at the top of the rankings -- don't blame me, I voted for the other guy.

• Let's start at the bottom. It's a virtual lock that we'll see Strasburg in the minors at the beginning of the season, and there's no telling when the team will promote him. Since he owns all of the buzz surrounding the Nationals, I would think they bring him up in early June and try to sell some tickets. Pick him up if you have a bench spot to use, but be prepared to exhibit patience.

• Ted Lilly is probably still looking at missing a month of playing time, but he has already begun throwing. A viral infection is delaying the rehab, but because Lilly has been sneaky good in the NL, he's worth a middle-to-late-round pick as a DL stash while we wait for him to recover.

• We took another look at Javier Vazquez's AL credentials, and didn't like what we saw. Vazquez falls from 19 to 24 in these rankings, and it's quite likely someone in your league will snatch him up pretty early based on the merits of his 2009 statistics. I loved the guy last year, but this move could be killer.

• Does Roy Halladay deserve to be drafted ahead of Tim Lincecum? Let us know in the comments section.
