(March 6) - A New Hampshire high school English teacher is charged with indecent exposure and lewdness for allegedly sending nude photos of herself to a 15-year-old male student, who then forwarded the images to his classmates.

Melinda Dennehy, a 41-year-old mother of two from Hampstead, turned herself into police on Friday and was released on a $10,000 bond, the Boston Herald reported. School officials at Londonderry High School suspended Dennehy on Wednesday.

The teen told investigators Dennehy sent the photos to his e-mail account about two months ago and "continuously sent him text messages," some of which offered to perform a sex act on him, according to police documents.

Authorities said that Dennehy also "kissed him twice on separate occasions," according to the Herald.

After the photos circulated among students, a concerned parent passed them on to faculty members, who identified Dennehy and notified police.

"I didn't believe it -- I thought she was a good teacher," student Shaina Pierce told NECN.

Police ordered Dennehy to stay away from anyone under the age of 16.
