No charges have been filed against Roethlisberger at this time.
Early Monday, Steelers president Art Rooney II released a statement on the issue.
"All of us in the Steelers family are concerned about the recent incident involving Ben Roethlisberger in Georgia," Rooney said in the statement. "We cannot comment on any of the specifics until law enforcement's investigation is concluded. Certainly, we will continue to closely monitor the situation."
This is the second time in less than a year that Roethlisberger has had to deal with sexual assault accusations. Prior to the 2009 season, a Nevada woman named Andrea McNulty claimed that Roethlisberger raped her and filed a civil suit against the Pittsburgh quarterback and several others.
