Sandy Scott, who is best known as part of The Flying Scotts tag team, passed away early Thursday morning at the age of 75.

Scott (whose real name was Angus Scott), died following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

Back in 1954, Scott paired up with his brother George and they teamed together until the early 1970s with Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. After that, he began working in the front office for Jim Crockett Promotions.

He later went on to work for a short time behind the scenes with World Championship Wrestling and then became one of the driving forces behind Smoky Mountain Wrestling during the 1980s.

In 2008, Scott was inducted into the NWA Wrestling Legends Hall of Heroes.
