Last fall, the Yankees parted ways with Irish tenor Ronan Tynan after he told an anti-Semetic joke. Tynan apologized, explaining to WNBC that "I would never want to hurt anybody's feelings. It was stupid of me to be so callous." But the team still canceled his Friday appearances at Yankee Stadium to sing "God Bless America."

Tynan ended up moving out of New York and eventually landed in Boston. And now, some five months later, he's not only singing "God Bless America" again, he's doing it in a Red Sox uniform.

During an event for State Senator Jack Hart, Tynan told the crowd: "I know you've known my record from the other side. But whether you wear pinstripes or red socks, you sing a song about a great country, and that is what it's really about."

He then added, "YANKEES SUCK! YANKEES SUCK!"*

* Untrue, although I imagine it crossed his mind.
