Ben Roethlisberger Pulls Out of Celebrity Golf Event

I wonder if Ben Roethlisberger settled down to watch the season premiere of South Park last night, all set to laugh his ass off at the very public humiliation that befell Tiger Woods, if for no other reason than to take his mind of his own troubles.

We now know that Big Ben made a cameo in the episode and with good reason: he's one of the first names that immediately come to mind when you hear the words "sports" and "sex." (Congrats, sir!)

So it only follows that Roethlisberger's offseason would mirror that of Tiger's: after accusations have been leveled, fall off the face of the earth. Woods, we later learned, was in rehab. No word yet on Ben, who missed the start of Steelers' offseason workouts and, it seems, has also withdrawn from a celebrity golf event.

TMZ has learned Roethlisberger has pulled out of the Kraft Nabisco Championship Celebrity Pro-Am scheduled for March 29-April 4 in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Big Ben has been keeping a low profile since the alleged sexual assault in Georgia earlier this month. Joe Mantegna is the headliner of this year's event.

Arnold Palmer is not impressed.
