Why anyone felt the need to ask Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne about Tim Tebow's pro prospects is rather unclear, but Henne didn't pull any punches in his answer."My judgment is that he's not an NFL quarterback," Henne said during a radio interview with Curtis Stevenson and Anita Marks on Miami's WQAM. "I'll leave it at that."
That juicy comment comes courtesy of Pro Football Talk, which points out that Henne's quarterbacks coach in Miami, David Lee, has been helping Tim Tebow improve his game since the Senior Bowl.
Henne and Tebow met once during their college days, at the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1, 2008. In Lloyd Carr's last game as Michigan head coach, the Wolverines took down Florida, 41-35. In that game Henne threw for 373 yards and two touchdowns; Tebow had 154 yards passing, 54 yards rushing and four total touchdowns.
Beyond that, though, there's no reason to believe that Henne and Tebow have some deep-seated history.
Henne took over the Dolphins' starting job in 2009, his second season in the league, and posted a 7-6 record over 13 starts. He finished the year with 2,878 yards passing, 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
