Nate VanArendonk, a basketball player at Grand Haven High School in Michigan, shattered the backboard on a dunk during a playoff game, causing the game to be halted and then moved to another school to be completed an hour and a half later.

"I thought, 'Oh no!' when I realized what had happened," VanArendonk told Jane Boss of the Grand Rapids Press. "I was even sort of scared for a second, I wanted to make sure I didn't get cut. Then, I looked back and thought, 'Did I really do that?' "

VanArendonk, a 6-foot-9 senior who will be playing at Central Michigan next year, was fouled on the dunk, so he shot a free throw when the game got started at the second school. He made it, and that three-point play was the margin of victory in a 39-36 victory that gave Grand Haven a regional title.
