Joslyn James Claims She Met Tiger's Caddie at Club, He Denies It

Like a rash, Veronica Daniels (aka Joslyn James) will not go away. She's elbowed her way to the front of the Tiger Woods Mistress Media Circus and used her platform to denounce, among other things, Woods and commemorative golf balls. And when that didn't gain traction, she released alleged text messages Tiger sent her during their affair.

Perhaps everybody's tired of this story, or maybe people were more interested in the start of the NCAA Tournament than they were in reading text messages that wouldn't cut it into "Penthouse Letters." Either way, last Friday should have been the last we heard of Daniels. But that would make too much sense.

Instead, she appeared on a New Zealand radio station over the weekend to drag someone else's name through the mud: Woods' caddie Steve Williams.

Predictably, Williams -- who has denied all along knowing of Tiger's stable of ladyfriends -- wasn't jazzed by the accusations.

Via FoxSports.com's Robert Lusetich:
"I know this woman hasn't met me in a nightclub with Tiger because I've never been to a nightclub with Tiger.... If she's met me maybe it was in passing at a golf course, that's all I could think of," Williams said, "But as far as I'm concerned, I've never met this woman.

"I'm tired of having my name dragged through the mud over this. I've done nothing wrong. As I've repeatedly said, I knew nothing about what was going on."
Tiger's former swing coach Butch Harmon thinks Stevie is telling the truth.

"I have to agree with Steve," he said in a recent radio interview. "I know Steve very well. Actually I'm the one that hired Steve when Tiger wanted to get rid of Fluff and go in a different direction. I would agree with Steve and I'll tell you why. Number one, Steve's wife and (Tiger's wife) Elin are very good friends and Steve's a good friend of Elin. I think had he known something, I think he would've talked to Tiger about it.

"He's a very straightforward person and very hard-nosed kind of guy. I think they have the kind of friendship and relationship that he would've said something to him about it because he was really friendly with Elin. It just lets you know how secretive this all really was."

Williams also told FoxSports.com that he will be caddying for Tiger at Augusta National next month. And if history is any guide, he'll be wearing his ass-kicking boots to minimize any heckling his boss might face.
