The Interactive Sports Conference was held in Las Vegas over the last few days, featuring a keynote speech by Jeremy Strauser, the executive producer of Madden NFL. The conference included seminars discussing the future of fantasy sports, online sports video games, blogging, and other sports-related issues. The conference also featured an interview with the guy that likely won a fantasy title for someone in your league last year: Chris Johnson.

In his interview, Johnson said that fantasy owners would lose their leagues if they didn't take him with the first pick of their 2010 drafts. Shocking? Not really.

While there's obviously more to winning a fantasy league than nailing that first pick, Johnson is right to believe he deserves to be taken first overall in all leagues next season. The guy is coming off a year where he rushed for over 2,000 yards and gained over 500 yards through receptions. He rushed for over 100 yards in each of his last 11 games. The 16 TDs were six more than his rookie season total. Basically, he's earned the right to crow.

So fantasy owners, I'll repeat Johnson and tell you to take him if you're lucky enough to have the first pick of your draft next season. As far as the rest of your draft goes, make sure to keep checking FanHouse to get a leg up on your competition.
