Most of the 2009-2010 regular season was a forgettable one for the UNC Tar Heels. After winning the national championship a year ago, four starters bolted for the NBA, and they left behind a bunch of young and inexperienced players, along with seniors Deon Thompson and Marcus Ginyard.
They'll face Dayton tonight in the finals, but as is usually the case, coach Roy Williams has one of the nation's best incoming recruiting classes, and UNC should be back to form in a few months. Three of his top players, Reggie Bullock, Kendall Marshall and Harrison Barnes competed in the McDonald's All American game, and it was there that Bullock commenced with the early Duke smack talk.
DraftExpress.com provides the video (and ESPN's College Basketball Nation Blog has the background), but just know this: Bullock called out the pink elephant in the room, coach Mike Krzyzewski. "We're going to have signs about him, too -- that he looks like a rat..."
Hey, we were all thinking it.
