Jon Scheyer received even more congratulatory phone calls and texts than he expected following Duke's 61-59 national championship win over Butler.
Of course, that's what happens when you tweet your cell phone number.
The Duke star apparently updated his Twitter page with his cell phone following the Blue Devils' national championship victory.
Calls to the number resulted in a message that the voice mail was full, but did not identify the number as Scheyer's.
Minutes later, Scheyer tweeted, "Ok my fault... Holler at me over twitter... Stop texting that number pleaseeee."
Scheyer scored 15 points and handed out five assists as Duke won its fourth national title.
Ironically, the Duke senior had been asked about his tweeting during a press conference prior to Saturday's semifinal win over West Virginia.
"Most of the time people are yelling at me that I never tweet," Scheyer said Friday. I do every once in a while. ... It's just a fun way to interact with some people."
