After Duke Win, Jon Scheyer Tweeted Cell Number of High School Buddy

Don't let the Scheyer Face fool you -- Jon Scheyer is smarter than he looks. After the Blue Devils won their fourth national championship Monday night, the Duke guard sent the following tweet:

The inevitable followed: he was flooded with phone calls and text messages. Which prompted this tweet 24 minutes later:

And then this cryptic tweet one minute after that:

Funny story: the number Scheyer sent out wasn't his, it was his high school teammate -- and, apparently, D3 national champ in back-to-back years -- Zach Kelly. Via the Chicago Tribune:

"Scheyer played a prank on ... Kelly by tweeting Kelly's cell phone number to his more than 6,700 followers, who assumed it was Scheyer's number.

As of Wednesday, Kelly had received more than 2,000 text messages and several hundred calls. Scheyer's latest tweet begs his fans to stop texting and calling his friend."

I'll conservatively guess the number of texts that included the phrases "Scheyer Face" and "Duke sucks" at 1,800.
