The 22-year-old Price is a very talented goaltender who was (and may still be) the future face of the Montreal Canadiens in net.
The 24-year-old Halak is merely the goaltender who carried the Canadiens to the playoffs and was the winner in the team's surprising Game 1 victory in Washington. The Capitals have won the last two games to take a 2-1 lead in the series. The Canadiens were prohibitive underdogs coming in.
Halak was pulled by Martin in the second period after allowing three goals on 13 shots in Montreal's 5-1 loss on Monday. Price, who is 5-10 in his playoff career, gave up two goals on 21 shots the rest of the way.
Halak is no good to Martin now.
