(April 21) -- With so many news aggregators out there, who can keep up? AOL News filters the filters to steer you to the headlines that really matter.

Skip Those, Read This: The Daily Beast leads with a Wall Street Journal article on John Paulson, the hedge-fund billionaire who was involved in -- but not facing charges stemming from -- the investment created at his request by Goldman Sachs that has the SEC accusing the investment bank of fraud. Still, investors in Paulson & Co. may be inclined to pull out their funds given the scandal, and Paulson hosted a conference call Monday night to allay their concerns. For a more detailed understanding of the arrangement between Paulson and Goldman, listen to Slate's interview with "The Greatest Trade Ever" author Greg Zuckerman, whose book looks at Paulson's bet against the housing bubble.

Are Banks Too Big? The Huffington Post leads with a sensational headline -- "Break the Banks" -- topping mundane reportage by The New York Times on financial reform legislation. Since the financial crisis, big banks have continued to get bigger, by extension keeping them "too big to fail," leaving the government likely to have to dole out new bailouts should trouble strike again. There's been little serious talk in Congress of breaking up the banks, though a few lawmakers favor that option. "By splitting up these megabanks, we by definition will make them smaller, safer and more manageable," Senator Edward E. Kaufman Jr., D-Del., said Tuesday. "When push comes to shove, will the government save these guys?" asked MIT economist Simon Johnson. "I don't know anybody who doesn't think they'd save Goldman if Goldman were to suddenly run into trouble."

Poland Soldiers On: The Slatest leads with a Reuters report on Poland, which has announced an early presidential election for June 20. The election will decide who replaces Lech Kaczynski, who along with many other Polish dignitaries died in a plane crash in Russia a couple of weeks ago. Acting president Bronislaw Komorowski, who was speaker of Parliament prior to the crash, is well ahead in the polls. The presidency in Poland is a less powerful position than the prime minister.

Flights Resume, for Now:
The Daily Beast links to an Associated Press report on flights resuming over Europe, after a several-day halt due to the ash clouds caused by a volcanic eruption in Iceland. But another, larger threat looms. Scientists fear that the first eruption still could trigger a second one at a nearby volcano: The last three times that Eyjafjallajokull erupted, so did Katla, which is 10 times stronger.

Catch of the Day:
Say this for the Birthers: They are a persistent bunch. The Daily Beast links to a Think Progress report on the Arizona legislature's demand that President Barack Obama produce his birth certificate in order to appear on the state's 2012 presidential ballots. The provision, which passed Monday, still faces another vote before it becomes law, and comes only a few days after the same legislature passed the country's most draconian immigration law. Many believe both initiatives are unconstitutional.
