New York Media Getting Desperate for LeBron
Frank Isola, the paper's Knicks beat man, took the Cavs' 2-2 series with Boston as an opportunity to publish a piece noting Game 5 could possibly be LeBron's final home game in Cleveland, should the Cavs lose Game 5 and 6 and should James flee Ohio come July. That's enough of a dagger, right? But the Daily News clearly wants to be Cleveland's arch nemesis. How else to explain the URL of Isola's story, which includes a hyphenated, necessarily unpunctuated version of the monologue "Go to Hell? Isn't it just like Cleveland? C'mon LeBron, ditch that dump."
Classy.
One more note on Isola's madness: he claims there are two theories about LeBron's future: he wins a title, feels he's done his duty, and leaves Cleveland, or he loses, feels Cleveland will never win, and leaves Cleveland. Yes, Frank, these are the two prevailing theories about LeBron's future ... except for the theory which states he likes Cleveland, he can get more guaranteed money there and he has a far superior supporting cast there.
