TNA Wrestling has a new member of its Knockout division, signing independent wrestler Betsy Ruth to a contract earlier in the week. She is a rather large woman, listing herself at 6'1" and 250 pounds.

Ruth confirmed the signing on her Twitter page saying "My my my news sure does travel quickly! Thanks for all the support guys! It's much appreciated :) Haters keep hatin cuz I gots a "Lottalove".

Ruth has trained with the Team 3D Academy -- which is owned and operated by Brother Ray and Brother Devon of TNA's Team 3D -- in Kissimmee, FL for the past two years. Just a few weeks back, she had a tryout match with Knockout Daffney who was injured and suffered a bad stinger. However, Ruth was not at fault and the company has high hopes for her.

"I'm very proud of her and what she has accomplished on the indy circuit," says Brother Devon. "She's a hard worker and very good and hopefully one day we'll (Team 3D) get to work with her in TNA. I really think the fans are going to like what they see from her."

Betsy Ruth becomes the third person that TNA has signed from the Team 3D Academy following Rob Terry and Jesse Neal.
