After losing Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Monday night -- by a 2-1 margin -- the Philadelphia Flyers are in a pretty deep hole, down 2-0 in their best-of-seven series with the Blackhawks. Recent history is not on their side, as only one team has erased a 2-0 deficit in the Finals since 1980 and gone on to win the Stanley Cup (last year's Penguins). Adding insult to injury midway through the first period was Daniel Carcillo when attempting to deliver a crushing hit on Chicago's Tomas Kopecky. Carcillo ultimately missed his desired target, and ended up dropping his teammate, Jeff Carter, with a teammate-on-teammate collision that was somewhat reminiscent of last year's Alex Ovechkin accidental hit on Nicklas Backstrom.
Boom.
Carter, a 33-goal scorer during the regular season, has played in just eight of Philadelphia's 19 playoff games due to a foot injury, scoring four goals.
