Adam Burish Calls Chris Pronger 'Biggest Idiot in the League'

That the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup is no real surprise. They were one of the best teams in the NHL throughout the season, and they had a great mix of talent, skill, and that ability to irritate opponents with hard hits and hard work.

One of those irritants is forward Adam Burish. A national champion in college, Burish was a sparkplug for Chicago on a couple different occasions during the playoffs. But when the Cup was decided, Burish was stuck in the press box, a healthy scratch.

That didn't stop Burish from speaking his mind after the game -- and series -- ended. He went right after hockey's favorite lightning rod, Philadelphia defenseman Chris Pronger.

There are a lot of people who are probably applauding right now. Chicago coach Joel Quenneville might scream in shock when he sees this clip, but it's not that big of a deal.

Burish is a heart-and-soul guy, and he's known for speaking his mind. Pronger might not appreciate the fact that a guy who was a healthy scratch said he was "terrible" in Game 6, but he also doesn't have much of an argument. He wasn't very good in either of the last two games in this series.

As he starts to get ready to play next season at 36 year old, one has to wonder how much Pronger will be able to show that Burish is the idiot here.
