That the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup is no real surprise. They were one of the best teams in the NHL throughout the season, and they had a great mix of talent, skill, and that ability to irritate opponents with hard hits and hard work. One of those irritants is forward Adam Burish. A national champion in college, Burish was a sparkplug for Chicago on a couple different occasions during the playoffs. But when the Cup was decided, Burish was stuck in the press box, a healthy scratch.
That didn't stop Burish from speaking his mind after the game -- and series -- ended. He went right after hockey's favorite lightning rod, Philadelphia defenseman Chris Pronger.
There are a lot of people who are probably applauding right now. Chicago coach Joel Quenneville might scream in shock when he sees this clip, but it's not that big of a deal.
As he starts to get ready to play next season at 36 year old, one has to wonder how much Pronger will be able to show that Burish is the idiot here.
