The agent for NHL prospect Brett Connolly says any team interested in drafting his client will receive full disclosure of his medical records. Agent Gerry Johansson added that any delays in providing details to teams "is on me" and any outstanding issues will be resolved in the next few days.

"Brett and I want every team to have the same information, and to have complete information," Johansson said in a phone conversation with NHL FanHouse. "We have nothing to hide. We have a very positive story to tell."

The 18-year-old Connolly, ranked third among North American skaters by the Central Scouting Service, suffered a hip injury last August that limited him to just 16 regular season games with Prince George of the Western Hockey League in 2009-10. Nevertheless, he is still under serious consideration to be drafted early in the first round on June 25, likely between picks Nos. 3 (Florida Panthers) and 10 (New York Rangers).

FanHouse had heard from several teams this week concerned over the young right wing's lack of availability for visits to their cities and also a delay in receiving medical records. Johansson cleared the air.

"About the visits, Brett has done a few, but after meeting with close to 20 teams at the NHL Draft Combine there just wasn't enough time to get to everybody," said Johansson. "He lives in Western Canada and is still in high school. Brett is very much available for any team that would like to speak with him."

The bigger issue is the disclosure of medical records.

"Any fault for delays is on me," said Johansson. "The teams should have most of the information they need and they also saw the NHL reports and Brett in action at the Combine. But yes, there is one piece remaining -- a final review letter from our specialist -- and every team should have that by the end of this week."

Connolly's hip specialist is Dr. Michael Gilbart, based out of Vancouver at the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Centre. He is also an assistant professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. According to his bio on the university's website, Dr. Gilbart's practice is "dedicated to disorders of the knee, shoulder, elbow and hip."

Johansson said Dr. Gilbart is available to speak with the doctors of any teams that need complete details on Connolly's condition. His agency has also worked with noted hip surgeon Marc Philippon, who has operated on athletes ranging from Mario Lemieux and Alex Rodriguez to Greg Norman and current Islanders general manager Garth Snow at the end of his goaltending career. Johansson encourages teams to communicate with Gilbart and Philippon.

"Brett's a great hockey player," said the agent. "He's healthy and the injury is behind him. We respect and understand that teams have questions. Any team that needs answers will get them."
