Marshawn LynchHere's what's happening around the National Football League on Friday, June 18, 2010:

• It turns out Marshawn Lynch's absence from Bills practice Thursday -- just two days after finally arriving -- had nothing to do with his unhappiness with the team or his situation after all.

Instead, Lynch left to attend the wedding of Seahawks running back Justin Forsett, Lynch's college roomate at Cal, Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reported.

Lynch will reportedly serve as a groomsman for the wedding, which will be held in Dallas.

Seattle has a rumored interest in Lynch should the Bills decide to trade him.

• Speaking of Seattle, the Seahawks cut loose WR Reggie Williams, just two months after signing him as a free agent.

Williams had 189 receptions and 18 touchdowns for Jacksonville from 2004-08 but has had problems both on-field and off since then. At this point, Williams may be the next NFL-to-UFL transplant -- it's hard to envision another NFL team taking a shot on him before the 2010 season begins.

Seattle also signed three draft picks: fourth-rounders Walter Thurmond and E.J. Wilson, and fifth-rounder Kam Chancellor.

• NFL teams are showing great interest in Harvey Unga, the ex-BYU running back who will be available in the NFL's supplemental draft on July 15.

Unga, who withdrew from school after breaking BYU's strict behavior rules, will hold a belated Pro Day on July 8. According to Pro Football Talk, no less than 14 teams will be in attendance to check Unga out.

Unga topped the 1,000-yard rushing mark each of the past three seasons for the Cougars and scored 36 collegiate touchdowns. He also caught more than 100 passes at BYU. At 6-foot-0, 237 pounds, he could turn into a very solid between-the-tackles back in the NFL.

Transaction Wire

• The Bengals terminated the contract of veteran CB Keiwan Ratliff and waived four first-year players: S Bryan Evans of Georgia, RB Walter Mendenhall of Illinois State, P Jake Richardson of Miami University and CB DeAngelo Willingham of Tennessee.

• Washington signed fourth-round draft pick Perry Riley, a linebacker from LSU, to a four-year deal.

Injury Ward

• Giants TE Kevin Boss is on track in his recovery from offseason ankle surgery and should be ready for training camp, The Star-Ledger reported.

"It's one of those things where I was kind of second-guessing doing the surgery until now," Boss said, "when I feel the way it does now and I'm like, 'I'm really glad I went ahead and did it,'
