The only position in which the Thunder are a bit light on the depth chart is center. With a deep, cheap and talented backcourt, the incredible Kevin Durant at small forward, and Jeff Green and Serge Ibaka at power forward, Oklahoma City really looks like they're just some seasoning and a brute at center away from dominance. Well here's your brute, OKC: multiple sources are reporting the Hornets will trade their No. 11 pick, Kansas center Cole Aldrich, and veteran wing Morris Peterson to the Thunder for Iowa State power forward Craig Brackins (picked with OKC's 21st pick) and Washington wing Quincy Pondexter (picked 26th). Peterson is owed $6.2 million in 2010-11.
Aldrich was a brilliant rebounder and post defender in three years at Kansas. Oklahoma City shouldn't need much offense out of him now or ever, and they can allow fellow Jayhawk Nick Collison to teach young Aldrich the dark arts of NBA defense.
