Baseball's non-waiver trade deadline falls four weeks from Saturday, and with one major deal already completed this week -- Bengie Molina to the Rangers -- chatter is picking up around the game.

The Marlins -- who have used 18 relievers, most in the majors -- have inquired about Pirates closer Octavio Dotel, according to a major league source.

Florida's bullpen has a 4.66 ERA, 12 blown saves and 111 walks in 222 1/3 innings.

Dotel, 36, has converted 14 of his 15 save chances since May 1, with a 2.01 ERA, .162 average allowed and 28 strikeouts (but 12 walks) in 22 1/3 innings. Dotel makes $3.25 million this year, but his 2011 team option for $4.5 million becomes a mutual option if he is traded.

And Dotel isn't the only NL Central reliever who figures to come up in trade talks.

The Brewers are expected to decide after organizational meetings early next week whether to sell off players and rebuild or go for it and make acquisitions. But even before that, Milwaukee has let clubs know that relievers Todd Coffey and Carlos Villanueva are available, according to a major-league source.

Also, the Yankees, looking for bench help, have some interest in Baltimore's Ty Wigginton.
