D'Brickashaw FergusonHere's what's happening around the National Football League on Wednesday, July 7, 2010:

D'Brickashaw Ferguson has agreed to a long-term deal with the Jets, reportedly worth $60 million over the next six years, including $34.8 million guaranteed.

The Star-Ledger reported that Ferguson and the Jets have "verbally" come to terms but the contract extension has not been signed yet. Ferguson's existing contract had one year plus an option year remaining.

ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted the financial figures involved, numbers that, if accurate, would make Ferguson the highest-paid offensive lineman in NFL history in terms of guaranteed money. Ferguson, 26, has started all 64 regular-season games for the Jets over his four pro seasons.

• Tampa Bay offensive tackle Jeremy Trueblood was arrested Tuesday and spent the night in a Greenfield (Ind.) jail after police arrested him on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, but he was released Wednesday without any charges filed, according to TBO.com.

Police received a call late Tuesday from a gas station clerk, who complained that two men had disrupted his business.

"The gas station clerk called us and said two guys came into the store and were knocking stuff off the counters and almost knocked over a small lady with a child in her hand,' Greenfield Police Department Maj. Derek Towell told TBO.com.

The men -- Trueblood and Benjamin McKinney -- were arrested a short time later after the car they left the gas station in was pulled over because the driver, Trueblood's mother Wanda, was not wearing a seat belt.

Trueblood has started every game for Tampa Bay since 2007. There was no immediate word on potential discipline from the Buccaneers or the NFL.

• The Jets also inked rookie offensive lineman Vladimir Ducasse to a contract, his a four-year deal worth around $3.25 million.

• Cincinnati signed fifth-round OL Otis Hudson to a four-year deal with a base salary of just less than $2 million.

• Cleveland agreed to terms with WR Carlton Mitchell, a sixth-round pick out of South Florida, on a four-year deal.

Injury Ward

Eric Decker, the No. 87 pick in April's draft, should be healthy and ready when the Broncos open training camp. The Associated Press reported that Decker's Lisfranc injury has been healing on schedule.

"Yeah. It's still a day-to-day thing and the training staff is helping me to move along and progress at a very good rate, " Decker told the AP. "I feel comfortable every day so that's the best I can say."
