The fallout from the NCAA's probation hammer on USC continued Friday when Seantrel Henderson, considered one of the best recruits of the 2010 class, announced he'll attend the University of Miami in the fall.Henderson, a 6-foot-8, 340-pound offensive lineman from Minnesota, had signed with the Trojans but forced a release from his letter of intent after USC was placed on four years' probation last month.
"Seantrel has been great through the whole process and we wish him the best of luck in his decision," USC coach Lane Kiffin told the Los Angeles Times after Henderson was granted his release earlier this week.
Losing Henderson should not come as a shock for the Trojans, who received a verbal commitment from him in February but had to wait until March before he signed a letter of intent because of concerns about the NCAA's investigation into the USC football program.
Since USC granted Henderson a release without any restrictions, he does not have to sit out a year and is eligible to play this season. Henderson's father, Sean, told the New York Times that his son would arrive at Miami on Aug. 3
